About the City of Timmins

Timmins is located in northeastern Ontario, on the Mattagami River with a population of approximately 43,000.

Home of the famous country singer Shania Twain, Timmins is also well known for their outdoor activities including four-wheeling, fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling, etc. Timmins boasts hundreds of kilometers of scenic trails and over five hundred lakes, rivers and streams. An ideal place for any outdoor enthusiast.

The city offers affordable living in an urban-rural setting with a small town feel. The mining industry is a major player and controls the economic state of Timmins.

Timmins features three post-secondary institutions, Collège Boréal, Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology and Université de Hearst.
