Human Resources Administrator

Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Services, the Human Resources Administrator is responsible for the development of human resource policies, employee recruitment and retention strategies as well as ensuring that legislative guidelines are strictly adhered to. The HR Administrator also provides leadership on Health & Safety functions for the organization. Working with the corporate services team, the HR Administrator provides support services to the management team and all employees. The successful candidate will play an active role in the administration of benefit plans as well as oversee the performance evaluation processes.


  • Leadership role on Health & Safety matters including JHSC.
  • Maintain job descriptions.
  • Work with management to ensure proper resource planning.
  • Support the recruitment process.
  • Research best practices and assist in developing new policies.
  • Provide information to employees on general HR matters regarding programs and policies.
  • Prepare, maintain compliance related documents and keep staff informed of new policies and changes.
  • Maintain staffing records and other Human Resources related documentation.
  • Complete Human Resource related documentation: Employment agreement, Record of Employment, Letter of Reference, Form 7, etc.

Skills and Education Requirements

  • A post-secondary degree; a specialization in human resources, labour relations or similar is an asset.
  • 5+ years’ experience of Human Resource administration experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting a senior management team.
  • Human Resource professional designation is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge in Health & Safety legislation and requirements.
  • Superb multi-tasking, analytic and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional language and communication skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
